Mycelium

a emergent ecosystem designed to nurture

our collective sovereignty

You already know what’s coming.

Digital identity systems, centralised currencies, algorithmic surveillance woven so deeply into the fabric of daily life that opting out will become structurally impossible. You don't need another voice telling you all this.

Information is not the bottleneck. You have enough information. What you need — what we all need — is a viable alternative.

But here is what deserves to be said plainly: especially at times of urgency, we have to be careful and move consciously. Fear makes us reactive. It makes us easy to manipulate — not just by the systems we're trying to leave behind, but by anyone who shows up with a confident voice and a plan. Including us.

So we want to be honest about what we know and what we don't.

We know that the window for building viable alternatives is narrowing. We know that no individual, no single family, no isolated project will be resilient enough to weather what's ahead alone. And we know that the impulse to stockpile, to retreat, to build a fortress — however understandable — misses the point.

What we don't know is exactly what's coming, or exactly what will be enough. But we do know is that the answer has to be collective, or it won't work at all.

Zuckerberg, Musk, and Thiel all built their bunkers long ago.

Now is the time for us to build something better.

You can join us online, instantly and for free.

We’re curating a space where people who see what's coming can begin to connect, share resources, and orient toward collective action.

You decide how far you want to go from here.

You can buy land and stockpile resources. You can learn to grow food, generate power, filter water.

But if you do all of this alone, it will not be enough.

We don't know exactly what's coming, and we don't know everything we need, but we do know with absolute certainty that no one will be able to weather this storm alone.

What we're building is not a commune. It's not an eco-village.

It’s a rural farm, retreat center, and therapeutic haven crafted to nurture all that makes us human.

Being born in the context of communal projects that failed due to naive idealism, participating for years in various political and social movements, traveling the world in search of traditional egalitarian societies, and working for more than a decade as therapists focused on expanded states of consciousness, we firmly believe that meaningful, sustainable change must start from within.

But that’s our vision, and it doesn’t have to be yours.

We aspire to be one node in a larger decentralised network, designed connect to other nodes within the local community and around the world, each with their vision and their process.

We aren’t driven by ideology, and we don’t seek conformity or homogeneity; we are simply trying to build something that actually works.

Think of mycelium: the vast underground networks that sustain entire forests. There is no centre, and each node feeds nutrients to its neighbours, shares information across vast distances, and strengthens the whole by strengthening itself. When one part of the network is damaged, the rest reroutes and compensates.

This is the architecture of resilience: not a fortress, but an ecosystem.

These are the fundamental elements we are currently working to develop:

I

Food

Locally grown, nutrient-dense, independent of industrial supply chains.

II

Shelter

Natural, effective, climate-adapted, designed to be constructed collectively.

III

Energy

Off-grid systems scaled for community, not just a single household.

IV

Community

Real relationships. Shared labour. The social fabric that makes everything else hold.

V

Exchange

Internal economies, mutual credit, worker-owned systems that don't depend on centralised finance.

VI

Cognitive Sovereignty

The capacity to think, share, and live without permission from a system designed to extract from you.

Basque Context

We’re building the first node of the network in Basque Country, home to the largest and most sophisticated collective of cooperative economies anywhere on earth. For nearly seventy years, they have been operating across finance, industry, education, and retail, and doing so successfully in the global market. It is proof, at scale, that economies can be built to serve human beings rather than extract from them.

We are rooting ourselves in this soil because the Basque Country offers a rare combination of strong cooperative tradition, fierce local identity, a legal framework sympathetic to collective enterprise, and a landscape that can sustain regenerative agriculture year-round.

So this is where we begin.

My actions are my only true belongings.

How to Join

The proverbial pot of water is beginning to boil, and it’s time for us frogs to do something about it.

We are looking for people who are ready to act, each in their own way, from wherever they are, to help this project flourish.

01

Builders

People willing to invest time and physical effort through work-exchange. Starting this summer, you can come for a season, a month, a week; to our project or to others in the network. Build infrastructure, grow food, develop systems. Leave with skills, relationships, and a stake in something real.

03

Specialists

Designers, engineers, permaculturists, legal minds, educators, healers, tech geniuses. People with specific expertise who can contribute remotely or periodically. The network needs more than labour. It needs intelligence.

02

Relocators

Individuals or families considering a move to the Basque region who want to contribute with their own affiliated projects; adjacent land, complementary skills, satellite enterprises that strengthen the network.

04

Investors

People with capital who want it to mean something. Not charity, but strategic investment in a model designed to sustain itself and replicate. A way to put your resources behind the kind of world you actually want to live in.

05

Fellow Initiatives

If you're already building something — a farm, a cooperative, a land project, a local economy — wherever you are in the world. You don't need our model. You need a network. We're building the connective tissue between projects so that none of us has to be an island. Share what you're learning. Receive what others have figured out. Strengthen your node by linking it to the mycelium.
