Mycelium.

Nature Immersion in Cornwall

August 21-24, 2025

For millions of years before humans existed — before mammalian life ever evolved — there were vast mycelial networks spread underground, quiet and invisible, sustaining the life of the jungles and forests that would later become our homes. Without mycelium it’s quite possible that the gift of human consciousness would never have come into being.

Mycelial networks still exist, of course, and still sustain the last remaining wild ecologies left on earth; not just beneath the forest floor, but also beneath the surface of our conscious, logical minds.

Mycelium is not a retreat

so much as an invitation to return to our roots,

to become once again who we innately  are:

wild, free, and deeply interconnected.

We’re here to remember that underneath the stories we tell ourselves — about our identities, our possibilities or limitations, about the lives we “must” live — before even thought or feeling: we are human. We are animal.

Rather than chasing the false ideal of a "higher" or "better" self, we are dedicated to awakening our primal natures.

We’re here to move, to think, to feel, and to reconnect with our innate grace, the same as any other wild animal.

This is at once our truest essence

and our highest potential:

to move with primal vitality,

and to rest with inner peace.

Join us this August on the coast of Cornwall to enjoy the best that summer has to offer.

Join us on a journey

from the corporeal to the existential,

an immersive introduction into

a way of healing and a way of being.

Join us to explore

the interconnected self.

All activities take place in a small group setting, and the people we share our time with are crucial to shaping the nature of our experience.

In order to participate in the full spectrum of offerings we require a brief intake call prior to signing up.

Immersive Nature Experience

What will we be doing?

Before signing up, we have a free intake call to learn a bit about what you’re looking for, answer any questions you might have, and provide more details about how we work. Due to the small group setting and intimate nature of the experience, this is a necessary step to ensure that our group is coherent and balanced.

Step I: Intake

We conduct one individual preparatory call, and another group call in the weeks leading up to the retreat. This is to cultivate the soil, the set and setting, which will allow you to engage with the experience fully.

Step II: Preparation

Immersive experience in a private location, with a maximum of 8 participants.

We always adapt the exact retreat program to the needs of the group; the description below serves as a general guideline or foundation from which we will improvise as necessary.

However much the specifics of the program may vary, the essence remains the same: we are here to disconnect from the trappings of “normal” life that have left us dead inside, and reconnect with real life, which has been waiting all along, just beneath the surface of who we’ve come to think we are.

Day 4

We conduct one individual call and another group call in the weeks following the retreat to help you understand more fully what you’ve experienced and — most importantly — make any necessary changes with wisdom and grace.

You will also be given one month free access to The Mindful Body, a platform through which we can all stay connected and continue deepening our practices.

Step IV: Integration

* We are fully aware of the legal restrictions in the UK regarding the medicinal use of various plants and fungi species, and are committed to staying within the bounds of all relevant legislative frameworks. We move with care and respect. *

Mind and body,

individual and relationship,

human and nature:

the greater the divide

between these aspects of our selves,

the more vulnerable we are

to loneliness and frustration,

to a gnawing sense of having had, and lost,

some great unnamable thing.

That thing is what we sometimes call

Meaning, or Purpose, or Love.

The ineffable essence

that makes life feel worth living.

Whatever you call it, however you describe it,

one thing we know is true:

its spirit grows invisible

like a mycelial network,

rooted in the soil

of our primal natures.

Meet your Facilitators

  • Eric Haas

    MIND·BODY THERAPY

Inspired by the realization that intellectual understanding is rarely enough to truly heal the existential scars that we confuse for our selves, Eric has travelled and studied extensively to develop a simple yet powerful practice with plant medicine that allows us to reunite body with mind, human with nature.

  • Chiara Vitali

    INTEGRATIVE HEALTH

As a teacher, trainer and holistic coach, Chiara draws on her ability to listen deeply and observe attentively, intuiting the underlying processes that cause the challenges faced by people from all walks of live. She has many years of experience navigating expanded states of consciousness, and accompanies with both empathy and joy as powerful tools for healing.

Location

Our daily practice will be shared at Soul Sweats, a secluded haven of health run by our friends Sam & Jana on the Cornish coast.

Lodging will be at the nearby Eco Park, which provides various options for a comfortable and natural stay.

We will have everything needed to facilitate a powerful journey inward.

Nothing more, and nothing less.

FAQs

  • Perfect. Ask us questions! Send an email, or set up a call to talk things over.

You can also read what past clients have to say about their experiences here.

  • This experience will be led collaboratively between Chiara and Eric, the primary people behind Primal Nature. Feel free to read more about us here.

  • No. We will be using a carefully curated set of tools to help you dig beneath the surface of thought and feeling, to help you connect more profoundly with all that you are and all that you can be.

After many years of study and practice to refine our methods, we have come to see that these experiences can often catalyze profound and lasting change.

That said, however, it is always ultimately up to each one of us to do our own work and walk our own path.

No other human can or should deprive you of that fundamental responsibility, which is, after all, at the root of joyful living.

  • The base price is £1,025 (€1200), which includes all preparation beforehand, the full experience — including nutritious meals and comprehensive care throughout your stay — and all integration afterwards.

Early Bird discounts of £85 (€100) will be available until May 15.

The Eco Park offers various options for accommodation, which will slightly change the final cost for each participant. Details below.

We invest significant time and energy into making these experiences powerful and unique; we ask that you do the same. If, for whatever reason, these prices make the event inaccessible for you, please get in touch and we can discuss the possibilities.
